I’ve been reading a lot about GMC today. Discovered a new writer in the process, James Attlee. He wrote the text for a book on GMC published in 2003 for exhibition in Glasgow.
Thinking of why I’ve always been so drawn to his work and now reading about his life I know why.
Exploration of the spaces within the capitalist urban construction. Creating a spectacle as a way of making a statement about the mediated american society.
I think alot about art and if it’s a worthwhile investment of my time when there is so much more to confront in the world. But with out the ideas where is the purpose?
